Special guest appearance by Rabbi Leibel Groner - personal secretary for the Lubavitcher Rebbes for over twenty years. Rabbi Groner will share insights into the Rebbes life, as well as never heard before stories.

Saturday Night

7:00 PM – Special trip to the Ohel, resting place of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. The Ohel is visited by tens of thousands every year. Jews and non-Jews of every type come to the Ohel to pay respect as well as to pray and ask for blessings.

8:00 PM – Dinner at Dan Carmel Pizzaria
Return to Host Family


Sunday Morning

8:45 AM – Group Matzah Baking at an authentic Matzah bakery.
9:30 AM – Breakfast at Bunch-O-Bagels
10:30 AM – Tour of the Rebbe’s priceless library
11:15 AM – Return to Virginia . Estimated time of arrival 4:30pm

Professor Tony Michels from the University of Wisconsin, Madison will guide the twenty-thirty something crowd in a thought-provoking discussion about the intersection of African-Americans and Jews in the development of American popular music.  How do we relate to this music and what does this reveal about our Jewish identities?  We will jump into conversation using articles from the Fall 2007 Sound issue of Guilt & Pleasure magazine.  Space is limited; Young professionals interested in attending must RSVP by emailing Jackie.
