Activities Include Literacy, Arts, and Music for families with young children

(Fairfax, VA) – Gesher Jewish Day School will celebrate Community Family Fun Day on Sunday, March 30, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Located at 4700 Shirley Gate Road in Fairfax, Northern Virginia’s Jewish community day school will host a day of fun for the whole family.  The event consists of wholesome family activities and entertainment including Passover games and projects, a moon bounce and a Lego room. 

Author Jacqueline Jules and illustrator Janus Kahn, of “Sammy Spider” and “Ziz” fame, will visit with their puppets for reading and book signing at 2:00 in the Gesher library.  The day will also include a magic and comedy show presented by Mr. Twister with music by Sally Heckelman.

And just in time for the Jewish Festival of Passover, Gesher will also feature holiday learning stations, games, art projects, and a matzo factory which showcases the creation of unleavened bread.  The day culminates with a free raffle drawing featuring fun items for your family seder!
