Apr 4 - Concert of Vocal Music at Rockville Synagogue

Congregation Tikvat Israel will host soprano Brooke Evers and tenor Michael Gallant in a concert sponsored by the Vocal Arts Society at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 4 in the synagogue’s sanctuary.

The concert will be a program of art songs, musical poetry that tells stories. Translations of the pieces sung in six languages will be available in the written program. Introductions to each piece will be given by Elizabeth Daniels, a local music educator. A reception follows the concert.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door.  Contact Cantor Rochelle Helzner for more information at 301-762-7338.

PASSOVER SEDER AT Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia for Active Retirees and Friends

Annual Passover Seder

Join JCC Active Retirees and friends for our annual Passover Seder. Enjoy the beauty of the traditional Seder service led by Rabbi Amy Perlin, Temple B’nai Shalom. Lunch will include gefilte fish, soup, chicken, vegetables, dessert, wine, tea, and coffee; a vegetarian menu is available. Catering is provided by Marta Palchik’s Gourmet Catering.

Registration deadline is April 3.

Cost: $23 Member of JCCNV or Active Retiree Group/ $28, guest of Member/$40 Nonmember
