| JCC of Northern Virginia Opens New Art Exhibit June 22 – August 10, 2010 | ||||||
The JCC of Northern Virginia Bodzin
Art Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of a new art exhibit
Runs: June 22 – August 10, 2010 Artist Reception: Thursday, July 8, 6pm – 7:30pm Exhibition descriptions: Barbara Kaplowitz’s exhibit delights us with its playful paper mache birds and stunning photographs that explore the natural beauty of flowers. The inspiration for Ms. Kaplowitz’s bird sculptures evolved from her days teaching children the art of paper mache and from watching the birds on her deck at home. Her photography focuses on the inner beauty of flowers and allows the viewer to see shapes, animals or whatever the imagination chooses to interpret. Carol S. Zilliacus works magic with her polymer clay jewelry and more. Ms. Zilliacus is one of the masters in the use of this colorful, plyable, modern clay. She has shared her unique techniques through her many classes and in exhibits around the area and beyond. We are delighted to have her current wearable art and wall pieces here on exhibit and for sale.
