We serve Carnegie Deli meats and our breads are baked fresh everyday. 

Most of our food is homemade like the matzo ball soup, chicken salad, tuna salad, potato salad, etc. and our knishes come from Oceanside, NY.

We now have bagels, lox, noodle kugel, chopped liver, white fish salad and potato knishes. The chicken, matzo ball, kreplach, split pea and vegetable beef soups continue to simmer awaiting your arrival and Carnegie Deli's meats and cheesecakes (so good they will make you plotz!) are making honorary New Yorkers out of us all (even the Red Sox fans among us)! The homemade white meat chicken salad, white albacore tuna salad, egg salad continue to make the most health-concious among us happy.

Congregation Sha’are Shalom High Holy Day Services for 5769

LEESBURG, Va — Congregation Sha’are Shalom, Loudoun County’s Conservative synagogue, has announced its schedule for High Holy Day services for the Jewish year 5769. The High Holy Days mark the beginning of the Jewish New Year for 5769 and start with Rosh Hashanah (the beginning of the year) at 7.30 PM, Monday, September 29.

Services will be held the first and second days of the holiday on Tuesday, September 30 and on Wednesday, October 1, 2008. Services each day begin at 9.00 AM. Yom Kippur (day of atonement) services begins with Kol Nidrei (all vows) at 6.15 PM, Wednesday, October 8, and resume at 9AM, Thursday, October 9, 2008. A break-the-fast will be held after the conclusion of Yom Kippur services around 7:20 PM on Thursday.

All services and events are held at Congregation Sha’are Shalom, 19357 Evergreen Mills Road, Leesburg, Virginia. Rabbi Michael A. Ragozin, will lead Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services. Our cantorial soloists will be Lori Mangold and Rachel Pepling. Non-members can reserve tickets by calling the synagogue at 703.737.6500 or by downloading the reservation forms at www.sha-areshalom.org.
Reservations and tickets are required for entry to all services and for the break-the-fast.

Congregation Sha'are Shalom, the Conservative synagogue in Loudoun County, Virginia, is an egalitarian community, authentically Jewish and fully engaged in the world. Affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, Sha'are Shalom welcomes new members and serves families and individuals through religious services, Jewish education for all ages, programs for interfaith families, and social events. Founded in 1996, CSS is led by Rabbi Michael A. Ragozin and now has more than 130 households in its membership. The congregation holds Kabbalat Shabbat services welcoming the sabbath every Friday evening at 7.30 PM and Shabbat morning services every Saturday at 9.30 AM.
